Anglican Music / Muzyka anglikańska

Nie wiem, jakiego to nabierze kształtu ostatecznie, ale proponuję do wysłuchania fragmenty mszy i hymny, które rozbrzmiewają w trakcie nabożeństwa anglikańskiego w warszawskim kościele. Z biegiem czasu, mam nadzieję, zestaw prezentowanych tu hymnów zostanie znacznie rozszerzony, gdyż w praktyce bardzo rzadko wykonujemy któryś hymn więcej, niż jednokrotnie. A że tych hymnów jest pod osiemset, wybór wydaje się być niemal nieograniczony. Niektóre hymny anglikańskie są naprawdę piękne, co, mam nadzieję, uda mi się przekazać w zamieszczonych nagraniach.

Gwoli precyzji powinienem zaznaczyć, że hymny anglikańskie zawarte są w kilku śpiewnikach od razu w podanej harmonizacji czterogłosowej, która wydaje się mieć charakter oficjalny, polecany i zatwierdzony przez bliżej nieokreśloną Górę. Jednak granie kilku zwrotek w tej samej harmonizacji wydaje mi się być cokolwiek nudnym, a zatem najczęściej proponuję swoją własną harmonizację, nie mającą nic wspólnego z "oficjalną". Dysponuję tym plusem (dla niektórych jest to minus), iż nie mamy w parafii chóru, a zatem nikt nie śpiewa czterogłosem, w jakim to przypadku indywidualne dodatki harmoniczne inicjowane na organach kłóciłyby się ze sztywnym układem głosów wokalnych.

Limitowane możliwości brzmieniowe naszych organów (oraz ich stan techniczny) uniemożliwiają różnicowanie poszczególnych zwrotek hymnów metodami właściwymi i wskazanymi, czyli poprzez zmianę barwy, wprowadzenie głosu solowego, prowadzenie melodii w tenorze itd. W tym przypadku zmiany harmonii są w zasadzie jedynym sposobem na jakiekolwiek zróżnicowanie brzmienia.

Hymny anglikańskie są w swej naturze szybkie, co zauważyć może każdy, kto nawykły jest do tempu śpiewania w kościele katolickim. To i jest być może najważniejszym elementem różniącym styl anglikańskiej muzyki liturgicznej od tego, który przyjął się w Kościele Rzymskokatolickim.

I would like to record all these hymns. I just hope, the members of our parish will decide to choose these tunes again, so, this way I will try to record my favourite items.
